Youth Court

We have extensive experience of representing young people in the Police Station, Youth Court and Crown Court. Youth Court work is a highly specialised area.  We can provide advice and representation in relation to all matters before the Youth Court include rape, sexual assault. GBH and drug related offences including where duress/modern slavery is being raised.

We will provide clear advice and representation to the young person to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for them. We undertake all of our own advocacy in the Youth Court ensuring consistency of representation thus building trust with the young person at a time which is no doubt very scary for them.

The Youth Court is very different to the Adult Court with a different set of “rules.” We have the knowledge and expertise to deal with the complex provisions that apply in the Youth Court.  We will keep young person as our focus and will ensure that at every stage they are fully informed as to what is happening on their case.  We will ensure that everything is explained to them, and those caring for them, in a simple and easy to understand way.

We work with, and have close links to, the agencies that support young people in their journey through the Youth Justice System.  We know that the process can be overwhelming and frightening.   We will always have someone available to offer advice and reassurance. We have a down to earth and friendly approach that will put everyone at ease.
