Associate Solicitor 

Stuart joined KB Legal in January 2024 having relocated with his family from Lincolnshire.   Stuart qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 and has always specialised in criminal defence work.  Prior to relocating to Devon Stuart was a Partner in a firm in Lincolnshire dealing with a wide range of cases not only in Lincolnshire but nationally.

He has extensive experience of representing people in the Police Station, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Courts.  Over the years Stuart has been involved in a number of high profile cases including murder, drugs conspiracy matters and large scale frauds.  He has a particular interest, and expertise, in Road Traffic matters.

Stuart has a reputation for being hardworking and committed to getting the best possible result for his client.  He has a down to earth and professional manner which makes him a popular choice of advocate.  He strives to provide the best possible advice and representation to all of his clients no matter what type of case it is. 

Stuart is committed to the Legal Aid system and access to justice.  Along with Katrina, he has played a leading role in the Save UK Justice campaign which was set up to challenge the Government’s policy on reducing the Legal Aid budget and client choice.  This campaign went a long way in convincing the Government that individuals should have the right to choose their own Solicitor should they need one at Court or in the Police Station and to ensure that Legal Aid was protected. Stuart is still at the forefront of the fight to ensure that there is a fair Legal Aid system.
